EuropeanOrtho-K Symposium

European Ortho-K Symposium, London, Sunday 12 November 2006

The first European Ortho-K Symposium was held in central London on Sunday 12th Nov 2006. Sponsorship from Procornea (NL), Polymer Technology Corporation and No7 Contact Lens Laboratory (UK) has enabled the organizers to invite world renowned speakers from Asia and the USA to this inaugural meeting.

Professor Patrick Caroline, from Portland Oregon has published numerous papers and is well know for his research into orthokeratology over the years. However it is as an educator that he stands out from the rest, he makes the complex simple and memorable and is the master of explanation.
Dr Pauline Cho from Hong Kong was the lead researcher on the LORIC study, an expert in the field of myopia control and based in central Asia the ideal person to relate the findings from that part of the world in relation to orthokertaology and children including the latest development on reported risks with this modality.
