PresbyLite®: (bifocal): the double talented lens

Sooner or later we all have to deal with it: our arms just become too short and we can’t read at a short distance. This condition is called presbyopia and generally it starts after the age of 40.

How does presbyopia develop?

Young children can easily adjust their eyes to see close up. They can examine small things very closely. This ability to focus for near sight (known as “accommodation”) decreases very slowly and unnoticeably over time. Only after the age of 40 does it start to become a problem for us. The moment that we can no longer read close up any more is different for everyone but is usually somewhere between the ages of 42 and 48. In warm countries people become presbyopic earlier. How do we solve the problem of presbyopia? Because the deterioration in our accommodation will continue until the age of 65 we continue to need changes in our prescription and separate reading glasses, multi focal glasses or multi focal contact lenses like the PresbyLite® can be the solution.

The solution for presbyopia

The PresbyLite® bifocal contact lenses are the most advanced contact lenses for people with “short arms”. With PresbyLite® contact lenses your natural and comfortable sight will return for both near and far. The contact lens has a triangular reading part that will only move in front of the pupil, when you are focusing on something close up. Because of this the sight is always optimum. Each PresbyLite® lens will exclusively be made for your eyes only. You will always be able to read always and everywhere. Without reading glasses! The PresbyLite® lens is available at the better contact lens specialist in your neighbourhood.
